When you search a news database, especially for current awareness issues, you often retrieve articles republished in multiple publications over several days or weeks. The News Deduplication feature is available in news and business databases to help you improve your search results and save valuable research time by indicating when documents dated within six weeks of each other have nearly the same content.
Note: The News Deduplication feature also works with multiple-database searches, as long as the databases are all news and business databases.
Select one of the following options in the Clip Builder to identify duplicate documents:
Select Include all documents to display all documents in the result list.
Select Identify duplicates to display duplicates. The document with the highest word count in the result list. Links to the duplicate documents are displayed after the result document.
Select Remove duplicates to remove duplicates, if found, from the result list.
