Overview for New Users

The following overview shows the steps required to register with Profile Update and update your West Legal Directory® profile for the first time.

Step 1: Access the Profile Update Welcome page
Go to www.profileupdate.findlaw.com.

Step 2: Register with Profile Update
Type your e-mail address under the Register section and click Continue. See Registering with Profile Update for details.

Step 3: Find Your Profile
Enter the requested information and click Find to find your profile. See Finding and Claiming Your Profile for details.

Step 4: Claim Your Profile
From the search result, click Claim next to the name of the profile you want to update. See Finding and Claiming Your Profile for details.

Step 5: Select a Profile to Update
The profiles you have claimed for updating are listed on the Manage Your Profiles page. Click Update Profile next to the profile you want to update. See Managing Your Profiles for details.

Step 6: Update Your Profile
Update the information in your profile and publish it in West Legal Directory. See Updating Your Profile for details.

On subsequent uses, sign on to Profile Update from the Profile Update Welcome page listed in step 1 above. The Manage Your Profiles page is displayed, from which you can choose to update your profile.
