Enabling Cookies in Your Web Browser
In order for Profile Update to work correctly, cookies must be enabled in your Web browser. A cookie is a small text file that stores information about your preferences on your hard disk. Profile Update uses cookies to present you with customized Web pages when you are updating your profile.
To enable cookies in Internet Explorer (prior to version 6.0),
From the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
Click the Security tab.
Select the Internet Web zone and do one of the following:
If you are using default settings, click Default Level and drag the slider to Medium.
If you are using custom settings, click Custom Level, scroll to Cookies, click Enable, and click OK.
Click OK.
To enable cookies in Internet Explorer (in version 6.0 and later),
From the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
Click the Privacy tab.
Do one of the following:
To use default privacy settings, drag the slider to Low.
To customize cookie settings, click Advanced, select Override automatic cookie handling, select Accept under Third-party Cookies, and click OK.
Click OK.
