Getting Your Sign-On Information

You can get your sign-on information if you've forgotten it.

Username and Password

If you've already registered at west.thomson.com or another site related to Westlaw, your username and password for this service are probably the same.

If you have forgotten your username or password, fill out the Username and Password Request Form and we will e-mail you the information. On the form you will be asked to provide your security question, your answer to the security question, and your e-mail address.

Note: If you had a WestDoc or KeyCite.com username and password and accessed that service with a credit card, you will need to reregister for this service. See Registering for Westlaw by Credit Card.

Westlaw Password

If you have forgotten your Westlaw password, call West Customer & Technical Services at 1-800-WESTLAW (1-800-937-8529).

Client ID

The client ID is used by law firms to record billable time. If you do not use a client ID to record billable time, you can type any character(s) in the Client ID text box. A client ID is optional for credit card usage.
